Licence keys

Each product you subscribe to gets one or more licence keys. A key authorises a fixed number of users (seats) on a specific TheValua product.

Where to find them

The Licences tab in the portal lists every issued key, the product it belongs to, the seats used vs allocated, and the expiry date.

Activating a desktop product

1. Copy the key from the portal.
2. In the product, open Help > Activate licence.
3. Paste the key and click Activate. The product will reach our licence service and bind to your machine.

Moving a seat between users

Under Licences > Manage seats, deactivate the seat from the old user. The next user to sign in to the product will pick up the freed seat automatically.

Expired key?

Keys expire 7 days after the end of your billing cycle. Pay the outstanding invoice and the key reactivates automatically - usually within five minutes.
